Ahead of their time in many ways, *Joy* is an Aotearoa artist, who fearlessly creates music, the way they want, when they want. Even though they may be still considered as underground, *Joy* has a back catalogue like no other artist, writing in mono, and performing live in the Christchurch fashion district of Aotearoa NZ.
Home 2.0 is a sample-based organic Jazz-hop fusion album, in electronic elements. The songs have both an organic and synth feel and as *Joy* describes, ‘it feels like coming home’ as the roots of his musicianship is a as bass player. Firmly a mix of his Japanese and Kiwi cultures, *Joy* brings a unique style to the music landscape, with impeccable artwork, sonic crafting and an out-of-this-world energy.
Previously writing with analog hardware synths, MoogMinimoog, Sequential OB6 synthesizers and logic drum machines, Home 2.0 hails back to *Joy* roots and this is evident in this 8-track album. *Joy* is master of audio sensory experiences with their album projects, which are impeccably complimentary, so enter their world for the total experience!
