Satellite Media Group is delighted to announce the overwhelming success of the first round of the Jim Beam Video Scheme. There were over 182 entries received for the first round and over 50 entries already received for round 2!
The panel of 6 independent music industry judges spent hours listening to the entries and were very impressed with what they heard. They managed to get it down to 8 finalists. At the end of the day the very high standard of entries, the talent of young Oliver Braine stood out and we are pleased to announce that Oliver a.k.a DJ Logikal is the winner of the first round.
DJ Logikal is 16 years old and from Auckland's North Shore. He is a hip-hop DJ, turntablist and producer. He is already standing in for the legendary P-Money on his True Skool show on Bfm whenever needed.
The winning track 'Verbally Decapitating' is one of the tracks on Stinky Jim's Sideway's Too compilation CD and has been at number 1 on the Bfm Top Ten.
The video will be debuted on M2.
