070 Shake announces debut headline New Zealand tour this July

15 May 2023 - 0 Comments

Frontier Touring and Illusive Presents are excited to announce US singer, songwriter and rapper, 070 Shake will head to Australia and New Zealand for the first time in July 2023.

070 Shake will hit the stage in an already-announced appearance at Splendour In The Grass, before taking in anticipated headline shows at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday 22 July, Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Sunday 23 July and finishing up with her New Zealand debut at Auckland’s Powerstation on Monday 24 July.

Frontier Members pre-sale commences Wednesday 17 May from 10am AEST/12pm NZST before the general public on sale kicks off Friday 19 May.

A rising star in her own right, 070 Shake (born Danielle Balbuena) made a name for herself after being signed to Kanye West’s label, Good Music and featuring on the brooding outro of Ghost Town alongside PartyNextDoor and Kid Cudi. Since then, she’s been a sought-after collaborator, with the likes of Beyonce, Nas, Pusha T and Christine And The Queens all wanting a piece of the New Jersey native’s signature sound.

070 Shake has proved her musicality has no boundaries, with standout single Guilty Conscience recently receiving a colourful remix from Australia’s own Tame Impala as well as featuring on a reimagined rendition of Madonna’s 1998 hit, Frozen, Madonna describing Shake as her ‘favourite artist’.

Known for her commanding stage presence, Shake’s live shows have been celebrated for the “raw energy put forth – the explosive party vibe” (NJ.com). Last year’s ethereal performance of Skin And Bones on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon showcases the artist’s captivating energy and stunning vocal, showing exactly why she was chosen to join the likes of Kid Cudi and Coldplay on their world tours.

Releasing her latest album, You Can’t Kill Me to rave reviews of her and vulnerable song-writing abilities, the project opened even more doors, with Shake most recently lending her vocals on UK singer Raye’s 2022 viral track, Escapism which to date has generated over half a billion streams.

Now entering a new era of self-discovery in 2023, loyal 070 Shake fans will be eager to welcome her to our shores, with a string of unmissable debut shows this July!
