Tower of Flints return to the Paisley Stage in Napier this September, bringing their own distinctive brand of indie-post-punk-rock. They will be performing brand new material along with songs by guitarist Neal Beales and tracks from frontman Joseph E Harrison’s recently released album, Therapy For A Cynic.
Joining them for a night of raucous rock energy will be fellow Wellingtonians This Silent Divide and Hawke’s Bay locals Mirrored Walls.
TOWER OF FLINTS
Tower Of Flints began as the working title for a solo project of Joseph E Harrison (formerly lead singer of Brave New Void), a Wellington-based musician and songwriter. In early 2018, he was joined by Neil Beales (guitar), and more recently, Corey Wilkinson (drums) and Jared King (bass).
Described by some as indie rock and others as post-punk, Tower Of Flints have a distinctive sound that is all their own - guaranteed to please the ears of anyone into well-crafted rock/pop songs with dark, ambiguous lyrics and loud, jangly guitars!
In addition to their work as Tower of Flints, both Joseph and Neil have released solo work, much of which will be performed with TOF, and can be found online, on all platforms.

THIS SILENT DIVIDE
This Silent
Divide are a Wellington rock band that mix driving drums,
wall-of-sound guitars and melodic overtones to create catchy, high-energy songs.
They are known for their tight and powerful live sound that gets audiences
moving.
2023 has seen the band gigging regularly, including playing the iconic CubaDupa
festival in Wellington and releasing two new singles - Beautiful Creature and
Morning.
New single Morning is an energetic, rock song, with big guitars and melodic,
sing-along vocals. Lyrically Morning touches on themes of vulnerability and
navigating personal relationships in the face of an uncertain future. The track
was recorded at Wellington’s award-winning Surgery Studios, produced by Toby
Lloyd (Tiny Triumph Recordings) and mastered in Germany by Robin Schmidt
(Placebo, Arctic Monkeys, Pixes, Royal Blood).
Morning follows recent single Beautiful Creature which received
positive reviews and achieved radio play in NZ, US, UK & Germany and
is accompanied by a dark and mysterious music video.
The months ahead will feature more studio recording as well as live shows in Napier, New Plymouth, Auckland and Wellington.
This Silent Divide are: Shaun Jones (vocals, guitar), Kieran Williams (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jonatan Jaworski (Bass) and Sunil Jolly (drums).
