Wellington based website www.tallyho.co.nz launched in May this year has now done the half ton... a bit more actually.

118 new items were recently added including a 28 page interview with Chris Knox originally published in US Magazine FORCED EXPOSURE Issue#18 in 1993 (now deceased)

To date there are 519 items…

And still a huge box of materials to be scanned…

As well as a continuous flow of new items ‘donated’ each month from fans, NZ and worldwide.

History…

Originally launched into cyberspace in 2008 with little fanfare, the site has been refocused and redesigned based on feedback and a slight improvement in the designer’s skills.

The website is an ever expanding digital Internet archive/gallery of artwork by selected New Zealand Artists from the 1970s, 1980's and 1990's.

Drawn mainly from a personal collection it includes Posters, Hand Bills, Magazine Adverts and 'zine covers, though cyber theft has also occurred

Some of the artists include Toy Love, Kiwi Animal, The Clean, Flesh DVice, Headless Chickens and The Skeptics.

Even though the sites address is a Flying Nun reference, it encompasses artists from a wide range of genres, from punk to pop, the eclectic to the household.

An ever expanding collection, it does not claim to be the authority, rather it is one persons contribution (using the Internet) to fly the flag for New Zealand bands that have come before.

The site is a non commercial venture, maintained at personal cost, and is not sponsored by a beer or energy drink.
