Wellington Rock band Sidewinder are ascending to new heights this Spring with the announcement of a resoundingly heavy second album, complemented by the Northern Lights tour - an incredible run of live shows taking place across the North Island.
With their highly anticipated second album Talons due for release in early 2024, Sidewinder are giving their fans the chance to hear their new album in its entirety before it is unleashed on the world.
In addition to hearing the Talons album live and loud, those who attend will also be treated to favourites from previous album Vines. This not-to-be-missed tour is the first full outing with new vocalist Jem, (ex-Mojo Alice), giving devotees the chance to hear earlier material with a whole new vocal approach.
“The songs have taken on a whole new lease of life with switching to a female vocalist,” bassist Sean Fitzpatrick says, “The band still sounds very much like us – the songs themselves just sit much more comfortably into the desert rock / blues sound of Jem’s voice.”
With an impressive array of special guests completing the line-up in each city, Sidewinder’s Northern Lights tour is quite possibly the best Rock tour to hit the North Island this year.
