Pop newcomer Saharaa unveils her brand new single, Getting Better. Getting Better dives deep into invisible personal struggle. Sometimes life's storms can be relentless and soul crushing. Sometimes there just isn’t a fix for the situation. Sometimes it’s really hard to find the will and strength to keep pushing against the pain and suffering. Sometimes it’s hard not to hate yourself and envy others who seemingly have it easy. Sometimes life just feels unfair. However Getting Better as the title suggests is ultimately about never giving up, ‘falling down seven and getting up eight’. Saharaa collaborated with the talented Will Henderson (CHAII, Niko Walters and Abby Christo) on this track.
Saharaa successfully made her arrival onto the airways earlier this year with her highly anticipated debut single Never Leave. Airing on ZM Never Leave also received great reviews both locally and overseas. The single making it’s way onto radio stations in the UK and featured on the NZ on Air New Tracks compilation.
Born and raised on Waiheke Island, Saharaa grew up immersed in the local music scene before continuing to develop her sound and herself as an artist at the UOA where she studied a Bachelor of Music. Recognition as a rising female talent was swift. Saharaa was reviewed favourably following her debut concert performance in association with Woman about Sound. Headlining a dual city Madcap showcase, further highlighting her artistry as an ascending pop artist.
Saharaa is known for her rich textured vocals and catchy, heartfelt melodies. Taking influence from artists such as Gracie Abrams, Lennon Stella and Cxloe she falls primarily under the pop genre. With maybe a few collaborations in between, Saharaa has plans to release another single next year before releasing her debut EP.
Saharaa has officially stepped foot into her sad girl era and is sure to make a statement with this next single.
"Not too far from a Taylor Swift, in physical appearance as well as performance" - The 13th Floor
"The journey has only just begun for this rising pop star, and her authenticity and passion are sure to leave an indelible mark on the music world." - The Hollywood Six
“This bop is in fact, just the beginning for Saharaa and we can’t wait to hear more." - Tearaway Magazine
