Sassy, self-produced RnB/Electronic artist Meghan Meraki is stepping into her own in the Aotearoa music scene, releasing her newest single, Do It To Myself, a bold track exploring self-sabotage. With a strong belief in self-love and appreciation, listeners can expect to feel a boost of confidence after listening to the Ōtautahi-based songwriter.
Describing her track Meghan explains, "Do It To Myself is all about realising that it's sometimes yourself who allows bad things back into your life. Sometimes we let people walk all over us, and although they are to blame for their actions, it is you who is allowing them to do it. The song has an underlying sense of frustration over letting it all happen".
Inspired by artists like Ella Mai and Yebba, Meghan's songwriting shows core elements of classic RnB, with her own added flare. Growing up in a musical family, Meghan has leaned into music as her emotional outlet, developing her sound by learning production and utilising her love of RnB, Pop and Soul to tell her story.
Do It To Myself will be available on all digital platforms from Friday 24th November, 2023, with a release show at Darkroom, CHCH, on December 3rd.
