The Hero, the villain, the mother, the child, the love, the loss, are all archetypes in their own right, but what connects and solidifies their place in eternity is the music. Archetypes allow us to understand and express the stories and experiences that make us human. The Beatniks present to you their interpretation of this message and their own archetype that graces the front cover. More than an album, this amalgamation of sound and rhythm presents the story of the human experience, bound together by the freedom from this twisted reality that music provides. It is up to you to embrace the journey, wander through emotion, the heartbreak, the love, the joy, the sadness, the uncertainty, the hope, the experiences that make you the person you are today.
Dunedin based rock band The Beatniks are proud to share the release of their debut album Archetype, Available now on all streaming platforms.
This collection of songs represents our journey. From practicing, writing, and recording in the cold and moldy flats of Otepoti, Dunedin to performing stages across the country. A journey that couldn’t have been accomplished without your support. We are absolutely thrilled and grateful to present to you a finished product that showcases a little piece of ourselves.
The Beatniks just finished their debut New Zealand tour in support of the album, playing sold out shows in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington.
