Today Son Salut are releasing their first single called Aftershock.

A rich and deeply detailed story about someone revisiting Christchurch after a long time away and how they feel about the changes after the earthquake of 22 February 2011. Sadness and remembrance are themes, along with emotional and spiritual resurgence.

Lyricist Sonny Salut says of the words ‘Each line in this song means more than one thing to me. It’s kind of associated images mingled up across time.’
