Wet Denim, the ascending four-piece rock pop act hailing from Wellington’s vibrant music scene, is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, Stuck With You. The track, a gritty anthem exploring the ongoing struggles with body image, showcases the band's unique blend of pop sensibility, rock energy, with a splash of cinematic atmosphere.
Stuck With You boasts a dynamic chorus/verse relationship, accompanied by upbeat guitars, unrelenting rhythm, and layered production, highlighting Wet Denim's prowess in the production space. The fast-paced accompanying music video, directed by Connor Pritchard, adds an extra layer of visual excitement to the release.
Lead singer and guitarist Nick Goodwin, along with Luca Crampton on guitar and keyboards, and the rhythm section consisting of brothers Jack and Joe Ledword on drums and bass respectively,
form the powerhouse that is Wet Denim. Rising from a year of record rainfall, the band has swiftly become a must-see live act in both local and national music scenes.
Wet Denim's sonic concoction is a relentless mix of scorching guitar riffs,
pulsating bass lines, and thunderous drums, delivering a rock heavy cocktail with a dash of pop. Always striving for a catchy hook, Stuck With You is a testament to the band's commitment to pushing musical boundaries.
Of the track,
lead singer Nick Goodwin says: "Stuck With You was written just over two years ago during a time that I was really struggling with a combination of self critiquing and constant exposure to unattainable standards online. The video doubles down on some of these themes, really elevating the energy of the track.”
The single was expertly mixed by Neil MacLeod (known for his work with TOI, Aacacia) and masterfully mastered by Chris Chetland (credited with works for Dua Lipa and Snoop Dogg).
Get ready to crank it up and let the raw, unapologetic
energy of Stuck With You take over.
Wet Denim are also hitting the road this February and March with Frank On Tap on the ‘Call The Plumber’ Tour. Taking in six dates across the North Island. Tickets are on
sale now.
