Wellington rock band This Silent Divide today released their new single In This World which Flax-Trax labelled “an absolute belter of a track, destined to peel your skin back from your face”.
This Silent Divide mix driving drums, wall-of-sound guitars and melodic overtones to create catchy, high-energy songs. 2023 singles Outside, Beautiful Creature and Morning received positive reviews and radio play in New Zealand, the US & UK.
New track In This World explores the themes of apathy and 'going through the motions' in life. “[It] grabs you straight away with its snarly, almost embittered power chord-influenced intro riff. It's the deep, precisely executed performance I have learned to expect from this band...putting me in mind of early Shihad or Weta”, notes Flash-Trax.
Recorded at Wellington’s Surgery Studios, with producer Toby Lloyd from Tiny Triumph Recordings at the helm, In This World was mastered in Germany by Robin Schmidt (The Hives, Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys).
