With the raw power of Guns n' Roses, the gritty intensity of Soundgarden, the rebellious spirit of Nirvana, and the flamboyance of The Darkness comes Dunedin rock act Saurian with their latest high-octane offering Devil Among Men. Thick vocals and juicy riffs drive this track which is accompanied by an AI-generated official video.
Speaking of the single, says vocalist Karl Brinsdon, "Devil Among Men is about how so many people present themselves as being nice, but turn out to be quite the opposite. It's a song about misplaced trust.
"We used artificial intelligence to generate the artwork and music video because we wanted to use it as a statement. AI is now out there on the internet wherever we look, and we have to be careful of what we trust".
Formed in 2015, Saurian have ripped open the local rock music scene with their EP Octopedal Rock Unit, and racking up over 10,000 Spotify Streams, this really is just the beginning for the band, with their sophomore EP due for release later in 2024.
Devil Among Men is available on all digital platforms from Friday March 15th, 2024.
