Nashville-based indie-rock artist and former Atlas frontman, Sean Cunningham, has today released another hit single Habit + announced his debut solo album!
An epic anthem of self-reflection, Habit follows Sean’s recently released single Whatever That Is (RadioScope Most Added Chart, The Hits, More FM), which has proven popular with loyal Atlas fans and newer listeners alike. An upbeat and layered single, this new track paints an even more exciting picture for the artist’s debut solo album - Whatever That Is - out June 28!
Habit details the artist’s experience of landing in relationships that simply aren’t the right fit - and all the self-sabotage this entails. Through a pounding beat, emotive and gritty vocals, epic synths and his classic, guitar-driven sound, Sean has perfectly encapsulated his deeply personal and relatable subject matter in a catchy new hit for fans to fall in love with.
“Habit addresses the patterns or habits we create in our lives that only prove to work against us,” reflects Sean. “It's about searching for the right person in your life but always going after the wrong people. Every time knowing that you’re making the same mistakes.”
The stunning new anthem was co-written alongside collaborator Samantha Lynagh, recorded and mixed in Nashville by Sean and Mike Fahey, and mastered by Mike Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Finland. “Samantha and I met for a songwriting session and both began discussing our individual dating lives,” says Sean. “We’ve both got a pattern of shooting ourselves in the foot by dating people we know aren’t right for us.”
With his debut full-length album Whatever That Is just around the corner, now is the time to dive into the sound of Sean Cunningham and Habit!
