Atjazz delivers a stunning remix, adding all-new instrumentation while retaining the original vocal. In true collaborative style, Haines also recorded a flute solo exclusively for this remix. Atjazz is one of soulful dance music’s most prolific and respected producers with a worldwide following.
Come Into The Light features rising Auckland-based vocalist La Coco, the first single from his highly anticipated 11th studio album.
Featuring beats from Frank Booker, with Haines on keys and production, Come Into the Light has a classic West London sound, harking back to Haines’ well-loved UK albums from the early 2000's with a production style very much in vogue in 2024. The track features a classic broken-beat sound with a jazz feel, with soulful vocals from the talented La Coco.
The single is the first release from Haines’ 11th album Notes, set for release August 9. After a 10 year writing and recording period initially starting with UK-based producer Phil Asher, Haines was tasked with finishing the album after Phil’s sudden death three years ago. Completed by Haines alongside collaborators like Marc Mac (4 Hero), Marc de Clive-Lowe, Jkrive (Razor-N-Tape), Frank Booker and more, the resulting album features the jazz-inspired electronic sound which has made Nathan Haines one of NZ’s most acclaimed musical exports and is his most-personal and assured album to date.
