Post-metal/doom quartet Thousand Limbs have today shared their new track The Aurochs-Aligned from their upcoming debut album The Aurochs, set for release on 19 July, 2024 on Azathoth Records.
Based on the fifth woodcut in the series The Aurochs – Aligned re-establishes the main motif of the album in its fully developed form: first introduced in the opening track, and then reintroduced in track three, the Leitmotif of The Aurochs – Aligned represents the emerging from the wilderness of the self with renewed purpose and balance while still remaining conscious of the need for self-discipline and focus
Since their formation in the winter of 2016 in Tāmaki Makaurau, post-metal/doom quartet Thousand Limbs has continued to paint the most visceral of pictures with instrumental sound.
Crafting monumental moments of crushing metal, staggering riffs, and soundscapes that build and blister in and out of existence, their journey toward greatness will continue this summer with the official worldwide release of their debut album, The Aurochs.
