Music News - Superturtle Release New Single - 'They’re Gonna Give You A Number'

From their first single Free Ride to next month’s new release, Superturtle continue a tradition of finely crafted post and pop punk singles spanning twelve videos and five albums. Performed as a tightly knit 3-piece, They’re Gonna Give You A Number features James Still on drums, Dean Kalman on guitar and backing vocals, and Darren McShane on bass and vocals.
A snappy post punk tune about our role as units of consumption They’re Gonna Give You A Number was recorded at Earwig Studios with Tape Operators Holly and Ben Haigh-McShane, and mastering at Earwig Studios by Darren McShane. No instrumental overdubs were added with vocal effects being the only production via tape delay, plate reverb, and reverb chamber. The accompanying video was shot by Holly Haigh-McShane and Darren McShane and includes studio footage of the band with storyline scenes acted by Holly and Ben Haigh-McShane and Jarvis Silvey-McShane.
They’re Gonna Give You A Number is the third single and video from the upcoming Superturtle double album which is at this point unnamed. This sixth album is near completion and will feature cover art by Chris Knox.
