Live looping artist, Mike Conlon 'One Man Big Sound' has enticed Jason Kerrison (OpShop) back for another big show in his hometown of Te Awamutu on the 21st September. This time they will be joined by Rowdy's Rose for an intimate and energetic night of Live Music.
Mike’s feature shows normally raise funds for local charity Loving Arms. This one-off show at Stallions, Te Awamutu is one of two benefit shows for country duo, Rowdy’s Rose to attend American Music Awards as nominees for their original songs.
Jason Kerrison is a multi-platinum, multi-award-winning singer-songwriter. He has had many high-profile TV roles such as the recent winner of Masked Singer NZ, X factor judge and New Zealand’s Got Talent judge. in 2011, JK was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for Services to Music.
For this show, Jason has deep dived into all the old studio hard drives and tapes of OpShop, The Babysitters Circus, Fungi, and his solo work to rebuild the stems from every song he's ever produced, including the recently released Jason Kerrison single Someone Should Love You featuring Leigh Franklin, so that he can lovingly remould and remix them live for a unique performance.
His acoustic solo shows were always fun, but at this show He will be completely remixing pre-recorded stems of drums, guitars, bass, and other instruments live.
Mike Conlon 'One Man Big Sound' is a local singer-song writer and multi-instrumentalist who on the same day will be releasing his debut single Energy Man to NZ and beyond. His high energy Live Looping and Live Sound Engineering style of music is like something you have never seen before.
Described as having gritty vocals, Mike will bring some funk, rock and soul with a definite twist of country to his set for this show.
Rowdy’s Rose is the rising (Husband-and-Wife) Country duo based in the Waikato. Independent singer/songwriters and International recording artists. Gaining radio play worldwide and reaching over 181 countries via streaming and radio. Recently selected by NZ on Air as NewTracks artists and reaching top 3 in NZ kiwi music charts with their new single, things are heating up for the duo with their recent invitation to attend Radio awards in Pennsylvania this October as performers and 3 - time nominees. Named as crowd pleasers - you're sure to have a good time.
