Tāmaki Makaurau's Goodspace (Jefferson Chen) presents the first ever garage pop album: Let's Talk About Death.
Set for release on 5 October, and cooked up at Roundhead Studios, The Lab and The Goodspace, Let's Talk About Death contains 10 flavoursome songs seasoned by a variety of other art mediums and reaches beyond the musical sphere, making it Goodspace's most important work to date.
Naturally, an album with this much sauce calls for a tasty and unique release.
INSTALLATION
All are invited to a unique album listening installation at Lim Chhour food court called Vendor, where the album is the menu, the songs the food items, and the artist the vendor selling free listens as if they were warm meals. A personalised, music listening experience in the context of a food court.
Order from Goodspace at the counter, take a buzzer and wait for your meal. What are you hungry to hear?
Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau, Goodspace has always been a project of multiple collaborations and forms: performing as a soloist or indie band, composing for immersive theatre and short films, and creating album performance-installations. The creative approach, however, is always the same: to create in a way where artistry and hauora (well-being) grow together. Music from a good space.
