Stu J is back with a new vibe; fusing laid-back, dreamy vocals and textures, with powerful, funk-driven guitar rhythms to create Island Time.
The song was written in Sumatra, 2023 during a two-month surf trip with a guitar in-tow. The original song started as a pretty finger-picking guitar melody, and he has since crafted up the sound to work with his five-piece band; this song is the outcome of that entire process.
