Havening release new ghostly single 'Moonshine'

24 September 2024 - 0 Comments

Independent electronic musician Havening has come with the spook on her new single titled Moonshine, released on September 22. Inspired by a ghost hunting team, she soars eerie atmospheric vocals across dramatic synth melodies and a trip-hop beat.

"The Moonshine project was exciting for me because I had the opportunity to lean into a darker side of my music. I had only sung on one of my songs before this so it was a vulnerable experience, but I feel the result is more spooky which was the goal!"

Residing on the Kapiti Coast of Wellington, Bonnie O’Donnell performs, produces, masters and creates cover art as Havening. She released her debut album wavelengths of light in May 2024 - a diverse double volume offering of experimental / ambient / EDM based music, of which blue albedo, either way and 6 wands were the stand out singles.

She says, "When I make music, I don’t start with a plan or even an idea, I just sit at my computer and see what wants to come through. Usually it is pretty out of the box and I love that! I have a varied interest in music and take inspiration from everywhere in life, it’s all creative expression."

Download Moonshine for free on Bandcamp, or stream on Spotify and all major streaming platforms. Connect with Havening on socials Instagram / Facebook.
