MACEY Announces New EP + Releases New Single 'Midnight Lover'

18 October 2024 - 0 Comments

Rising singer-songwriter and storyteller MACEY announces the release of his new EP project how to say goodbye. Inspired by the songs of classic story tellers, how to say goodbye documents musings on love, loss and self-discovery.

New single out today, midnight lover is filled with MACEY’s heartfelt lyricism and captures the feeling of realising you are in a doomed relationship but knowing it’s worth the heartbreak at the end. With a languid beat and a thoughtful reprise, midnight lover was written with The Lovers collaborator Ben Malone.

“I’d just been through quite a strange fling, where neither of us were able to be there for each other at the right time, sort of a hot and cold relationship”, MACEY explains. “I picture this song in black and white film noir, that painting by van Gogh ‘terrace at night,’ that’s the feeling I want the song to give.”
