Epakist's Self-Titled Debut EP Set For Release On 15 November

01 November 2024 - 0 Comments

Epakist are poised to burst onto the Tamaki Makaurau scene and beyond in the lead-up to the release of their debut EP Epakist, on November 15th 2024.

The West Auckland four-piece have combined to create waves in the Aotearoa music scene. Forging their identity and sound has been a "careful and slow process" but one that represents who Epakist are, as the band takes on a meaning and sound unique to them. Absolutely original, high-octane, soulful, groovy, and bound to wake the neighbours.

Epakist have drawn from a long line of influences and describe their sound as a soundtrack to a threesome between Fu Manchu, Pink Floyd, and the Butthole Surfers. Epakist is built on a wealth of experience in the music scene.

Epakist was recorded at Eden Road Recordings and mixed by Marc Chemaly, co-produced by Epakist & Marc Chemaly, and mastered by Downbeat Mastering.

Plans for upcoming live shows including an EP release show are well underway. A fundraiser show for Movember will be taking place at Piha Bowling Club on 30th November 2024, raising funds for the metal wellness of Piha Rangatahi. Epakist will play alongside Ghost Town Band and Dog Box.

Epakist, the 4-track EP, will be released on November 15th 2024.
