“Lorenzo Hazelwood’s songwriting and voice captures the essence and spirit of the Seattle scene of the 90’s, but with a completely modern take. I’m very much looking forward to producing Silcrow.” - Jay Ruston, Los Angeles, Record Producer
Bleed You of Me is the first new single by Lorenzo Hazelwood from his upcoming project Liminal Spaces. The song is the first release by Lorenzo since 2022's Vol. 3. In the 2 years since Vol. 3 Lorenzo has been busy playing live shows across New Zealand and London and working with his band Silcrow, who have released a 7 song EP and played countless live shows including opening for Shepherds Reign at Auckland's Tuning Fork.
Bleed You of Me is an acoustic rock track inspired by the 90's grunge and post-grunge movements including Days of The New, Soundgarden, Silverchair, Seether, and Alice In Chains. All filtered through Lorenzo's unique approach and outlook.
"It is a post-break-up acoustic rock song touching on the themes of untangling one's self from another. It's a somber mid-tempo song with an upbeat twist in the bridge section. The idea behind creating this recording was to get the song out there using whatever means I had at the time, which was not a lot. I found a friend who would help me record in a low-cost way and we got great results. The idea: Create whatever you can with whatever you have to the best of your abilities." - Lorenzo.
Lorenzo will be supporting this release with two shows in Wellington (December 7 at The Underworld Tavern) and in Auckland (December 14 at The 13th Floor).
