Twominds Festival is back for 2025, bringing its unique festival concept to Ōtautahi Christchurch's scenic Spencer Beach Holiday Park.
Gearing up to host around 2000 attendees over the course of two days from March 14 -16 the Twominds team are set to showcase a strong mix of both international and local acts, across five hand-built stages.
Twominds co-founder Corban Tupou reflects on the festival’s growth over the past three years. “Twomind Festival is presented by a collective of gig goers & festival lovers. While it’s quite a big operation with over 5 stages, the essence is still very much the same as our first foray into events with parties in our backyards.”
Kicking off the festival with international acts, the team will set the stage for an unforgettable weekend. With a diverse range of musical talent, headliners include none other than Lady Shaka, LSB & DRS, Mia Koden, and Midland, paired with many notable local collectives upholding the backbone of Aotearoa dance music culture.
Festival co-founder, Dan Stewart says “This was by far the most challenging line up to pull together, as we spread our wings into wider realms of music. It feels totally surreal to see it all together, and will be even more surreal to see these artists perform at our wee festival in the South Island of New Zealand.”
Twominds Festival remains dedicated to nurturing local talent, featuring an impressive line-up of homegrown artists who embody the community’s enthusiasm and commitment to music.
Local takeovers include Craigslist, Echo Train Records, Haven, and Ferg’s Emporium along with an ongoing collaboration with local venue Flux and radio station RDU 98.5FM.
The Twominds Festival team is putting the call out for volunteers. “Friends, family and volunteers are the heartbeat of the festival's success! Last year, over 100 incredible volunteers joined the team, and we’re keen to welcome just as many this year.
“For anyone facing financial barriers, volunteering is a fun and accessible way to dive into the festival magic. We’re looking for enthusiastic people from all backgrounds to help across a wide range of areas - come be part of the experience!”
Weekend camping passes are on sale now, with flexible options to add accommodation and transport packages. Day passes and daily artist line-ups will be released, giving festival-goers plenty of ways to get amongst the action.
“The concept for the festival has been designed and inspired by the many
festivals our team has attended all around the world. Our favourite festivals
are the ones that create a sense of collectivism, where you go to sleep and
wake up at the same place together. With some of the best camping facilities
out of any weekend long festival in the country, we highly encourage attendees
to come experience what the full weekend has to offer.” - says Tupou.
“The third edition is set to be the biggest and best to date, with more
surprises, interactive art installations, wellness activities, tasteful market
stalls, diverse food vendors, all within the incredible atmosphere of our
beachside venue at Spencer Beach Holiday Park.
