Monster is a powerful call to action, with lyrics that speak to the frustration and anger felt by those marginalized and oppressed. The song’s driving rhythms, dueling guitar harmonies, and epic vocal hook epitomize contemporary nu-metal.

Vocalist Xen explains: “There is civil unrest around the world. Monster is an anthem for the unification of people who want change, whatever that change may be.”

The accompanying music video is a visual representation of the song’s themes, with the band performing in a civil war-torn city generated using cutting-edge AI and CGI technology. This innovative approach is a testament to Kaosis’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of music and art.

Monster is the third single from Kaosis‘s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled record and follows the success of their sophomore album We Are the Future, which featured 20 international guest appearances from metal titans such as Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Sepultura.

We Are the Future has also earned Kaosis a prestigious nomination for Te Manu Taki Rakapioi o te Tau – Best Rock Artist at the Aotearoa Music Awards, a ceremony that has been celebrating and promoting New Zealand music for over 60 years. This nomination is a significant recognition of Kaosis’s contribution to the country’s rich metal musical landscape and a testament to their growing reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative metal acts to emerge from Aotearoa.
