A decade of music, art and Long White

New Zealand’s most colourful music festival, and one of the country’s most popular vodka Ready-To-Drink (RTD) brands, Long White, are about to celebrate a decade long partnership by setting Christchurch alive with music this summer.

The upcoming 2025 Electric Avenue festival is going to be bigger than ever, expanding from NZ’s largest one day event to a two-day event on 21 and 22 February – accommodating over 60,000 fans.

Oliver Downs, Asahi Beverages New Zealand General Manager Marketing, says Long White is the festival’s original and longest serving drinks partner, and he’s proud of what has been achieved over the decade.

“Long White revolutionised the New Zealand RTD market 10 years ago and at the same time Electric Avenue transformed the event landscape creating what is now New Zealand’s quintessential music and arts festival.

“While festival goers in Canterbury were able to enjoy Long Whites 10 years ago, now the range and options are well advanced with Kiwis over 18 able to experience different flavours and strength offerings in ten refreshing flavours. Four Kiwi favourites will be available at the festival.

“In addition, Long White has shown up at Electric Avenue in an expanded way: we started with a simple bar set up a decade ago, to now hosting prize winners and VIPs in the three storey Long White Tower with the best views and shorter bar queues. There is also the Long White Lifeguard Hut Chill Zone for all to enter, chill out and capture a photo to remember the day.

“We want to congratulate the Electric Avenue festival for reaching this significant milestone and Asahi Beverages New Zealand and its Long White brand are incredibly proud to have supported over the decade.

“We know it is something Cantabrians and those beyond look forward to and we know 2025 will offer a fantastic two days with over 50 artists,” said Downs.

While tickets to Electric Avenue sold out in record time, Long White will be giving away two VIP double passes for the Long White Tower and a heap of General Admission tickets through the Long White socials on Instagram and Facebook.
