The finalists for this year's Silver Scroll Awards are:

'It's On' - Nesian Mystik
Donald McNulty, David Atai, Feleti Strickson-Pua, Te Awanui Reeder & Junior Rikiau
'Life Will Be The Same' - Betchadupa
Liam Finn & Chris Garland
'Maybe Tomorrow' - Golden Horse
Geoffrey Maddock & Kirsten Morrelle
'Misty Frequencies' - Che Fu
Che Ness & Godfrey de Grut
This award is considered a great achievement among New Zealand's ever increasing population of song writers and composers. Ray Columbus, Shona Laing, King Kapisi, Dave Dobbyn, Chris Knox and Neil Finn are among previous recipients of the awards that has been presented yearly since 1965.
Two other awards are presented on the night and they are:
- The Most Performed Work In New Zealand
- SOUNZ Contemporary Award
The Silver Scroll Award will be presented at a lavish invite-only event at The Civic in Auckland on Tuesday 19 November @ 6pm. The FIVE finalist songs will be performed by other artists on the night.
