It seems like yesterday that Electric Wire Hustle announced their NZ homecoming show but the time is coming again for the jetsetting Wellington band to head back to Europe for the european summer.
Heading into their third european tour in just under 18 months EWH have struck a chord with european audiences. Last year saw their debut album released worldwide through UK tastemaker label, BBE, and the european tour that followed saw them perform in key centres in the UK & Europe and at some of Europe's hottest club nights including BBC Radio1 DJ Benji B's infamous 'Deviation' night in East London.
The feeling is very much mutual however - certain band members loved Europe so much last year that they didn't come home for another 4 months and part of the reason is the band's affection for the city of Berlin. “Berlin has an incredible energy about it. The city is in an amazing time of development and is brimming with art from every corner. It's a truly inspiring place to be – and it's cheap by European standards!" says EWH's Taay Ninh.
Electric Wire Hustle head back to Europe at the end of May and this time plan to base themselves in Berlin for 10 weeks. They are very happy to have secured representation through reputable UK based booking agency Elastic Artists and are set to make appearances at some of Europe's top festivals (See first announcements below. Full tour dates to be released soon.)
“Basing the whole band in Berlin for a longer period of time gives us the opportunity to play more shows & cover more ground ” says manager Hayley. “We have already booked shows in 5 new territories we have not visited previously which is really exciting & a testament to how well the music is spreading in Europe.”
