New Zealand singers of every level will have the opportunity to learn the secret of the stars at the Speech Level Singing (SLS) Vocal Master Class, in Auckland this October. SLS explores the techniques used by over 120 Grammy Award winners, American Idol finalists, Broadway luminaries and Opera icons.
The practical seminars are designed for singers of all levels - from beginner to professional - and aim to make singing as comfortable as speaking. SLS teaches singers techniques to train their voice to sing clearly and freely throughout their range, and is useful for those who want maximum range and consistent quality of tone. SLS shows singers a balanced approach to overcoming vocal difficulties.
World-renowned teacher and CEO of Speech Level Singing, Jeffrey Skouson, will head to Auckland from the USA for three classes at Auckland’s Spencer Hotel on Sunday 30th October. Bringing over 20 years of experience to the table, Skouson is a Level 5 Certified Speech Level Master Instructor (the highest certification possible), and has lectured and taught throughout the US and Europe. His clients include a wide array of pop, country and Broadway artists, including lead performers in Mamma Mia, Les Miserables and Hairspray.
The world’s best have studied the SLS techniques, including some of music’s long time legends Michael Jackson, Madonna, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, to modern day pop stars such as Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert. Anyone wanting to take their vocal skills to the next level should not miss this opportunity!
