- Space - Friday 4 July - 10:30pm - TV2 -
It's Independence Day in America but we don't give a toss, instead we just continue to bring you the best in world-wide entertainment - Mareko of the Deceptikonz answers the question "Is he the best MC in New Zealand?" with the release of his first solo video - 'Mareko (Here To Stay)' and Elemeno P continue with their New Zealand references with the release of 'Verona' - for those out of Auckland, the name of a cafe.
Auckland band Soda pop into the studio for some live music. Canadian Ron Sexsmith plays in the studio - six albums into his career and his latest album 'Cobblestone Runway' also features Coldplay's Chris Martin. A songwriter of simple, beautiful songs - we have him play two in a row so you can see what you think. We reckon you'll love it.
Plus singing actors, we review their work - including David Hasselhoff, Kevin Bacon, William Shatner and Billy Bob Thornton. Some cringing will be involved. We talk to Jaz Coleman, the Killing Joke legend now residing in New Zealand and catch up with a New Zealand fighter that has kicked arse around the world and is a huge star in Japan. And tons more that you'll have to watch Space to find out about.
- Squeeze - Sunday 6 July - 3pm - TV2 -
After releasing four singles - Elemeno P have finally released their debut album 'Love and Disrespect'. Mastered in New York, songwriters Justyn Pilbrow and Dave Gibson describe it as a conceptual album about "girls and geography". In the tradition of their music clip for the catchy 'Fast Times In Tahoe', Jane challenges them to a round of mini golf, this weekend on Squeeze.
- Back Of The Y Masterpiece Television -
Yep - they're back. Those superstars of idiotic, high octane, bad taste TV; Randy Campbell and Danny Parker not to mention their puerile sidekick Spanners.
All seven moronic episodes are coming back to TV2 featuring stunts, beatings, the worst band in the world Deja Voodoo and plenty of crass stupidity.
If you missed them last time - where were you? and if you are a glutton for punishment then it's time to watch it all over again - the show that invented 'must see TV' is back and stupider than ever.
Tuesdays @ 11:30pm from 15 July only on TV2
