It is with sadness that we report the death of Auckland PR Consultant Theresa Platon, whom many in the music industry will have got to know in her role promoting the NZ Music Awards this year and last.
Theresa was killed in a car accident last week, on her way to visit her newborn daughter in hospital. She was a well-respected figure in the PR industry and as a partner in Pead PR, specialised in the music, entertainment and fashion industries.
Her contribution to the music industry will be sincerely missed says RIANZ Executive Director Terence O'Neill-Joyce.
"Theresa will be missed by all her colleagues at RIANZ and a host of musicians, recording artists and managers who grew to respect her professionalism during the past few years."
