Maree Sheehan is an accomplished singer-songwriter and producer, who has been involved in the New Zealand music industry for more than 15 years.
The Auckland-based artist started playing piano when she was eight-years-old and wrote her first song when she was just 14. In the early 1990s she released her debut album; with a number of the songs making the New Zealand Top 20 Charts.
Sheehan’s music also featured in the soundtrack for the iconic Kiwi film Once Were Warriors and in the film Broken English.
Now, after several years spent working behind the scenes – writing and producing songs for television and film and penning tracks for others – she is poised to step back into the spotlight with a stunning 10-track album that showcases her smooth, rich vocal ability and the depth of her song writing experience.
CHASING THE LIGHT will be released via a distribution deal through Warner Music on Friday February 15. The album will feature the first single, ‘Rock With Me’, which goes on sale at iTunes on January 28, before being serviced to radio on January 29.

Maree Sheehan will accompany CHASING THE LIGHTwith a series of live performances, which will captivate - thanks to heartfelt ballads like ‘In The Light’ and ‘How Do I Say Goodbye’ - and have the audience on its feet, with feel-good summer tunes like ‘Without You’ and ‘Do I Wish’.

The album will be available to pre-order through iTunes from February 1 before it is released digitally and physically on February 15.
