Dick Johnson, Boh Runga and Tiki Taane have come together in an exciting collaboration for the release of their up-coming single Shadows.
The single also marks the launch of the Beats Working Label, as the first track to be released on the new George FM venture.
Originally written by Dick and Boh, the track evolved from a 125bpm house track into a dub-step infused tune featuring Boh’s signature silky vocals alongside the accomplished sounds of DJ/Producer and local dance veteran Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson.
Turning the dynamic duo into a transcending trio, Tiki first became involved when he began MCing over Dick’s music while they were on tour together. Falling in love with the ‘Shadows’ track, he then spliced in some of his own vocals and the collaboration was complete.
As an added bonus, when you purchase the track on iTunes you will also receive a free remix download by newcomer General Nova.
Also known as Jack Millar, the 15-year-old Thames local has been writing killer tracks in his bedroom for the last year. This is his first official remix.
“It's an absolute monster. It's a no holds barred EDM dubstep anthem. Look out for this guy in the very near future!” said Dick.
