DNK World Music is pleased to announce the release of rising star Sam V’s debut single I Want Ya on April 19.
After posting covers of his favourite songs catapulted him to over one million views on YouTube and over 3000 subscribers from both NZ and around the world – including a passionate fan base of Verlinators, Sammeisters and SamFan’s – the 15-year old Auckland resident is finally releasing his first solo track.
Already being dubbed New Zealand’s answer to internet-sensation-turn-teen-heartthrob Justin Bieber, Sam V’s got the raw talent, drive, star power and passion to carry him from web-darling to chart-topping.
The Rarotongan-Kiwi cites high-flying influences including Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Beyonce and the late and great Michael Jackson. The outcome? A smooth blend of pop, soul and of course, RnB.
That smooth voice is also one you may have heard before, from sharing the stage with the likes of Swiss and Donell Lewis, performing in front of thousands at Christmas in the Park, presenting TV segments and National television appearances, Sam V is already cementing himself as one of New Zealand’s most promising up-coming talents.
And while he may be young, Sam’s maturity beyond his years, matched with undying motivation, is directing him toward his ultimate goal of creating a career as a successful solo artist both in NZ and abroad.
I Want Ya is the lead single from Sams’s forthcoming EP set for release later this year, and is available online from iTunes now.
