After riding the wave of international success, an award-winning sophomore album and a strong tradition of unbeatable live performances, Three Houses Down are back with the release of their Moon & Back EP on 31 May.
The six song EP is a teaser of what's to come later in the year with the uplifting title track already being well received at radio.
Since starting out in 2004, Three Houses Down have been cultivating their own special fusion of roots, reggae and rock.
The band takes signature elements – Polynesian-inspired vocal harmonies, a driving rhythm section, uplifting lyrics – and rearranges them into something truly original and exciting, with just the right dose of popappeal.
They have played to huge crowds in Hawaii and the US over the pastthree years, and listened to thousands of American fans singing their lyrics during opening performances for Ali Campbell of UB40 fame, but they remain as down to earth as the grass beneath our feet, thanks to a rock-solid family foundation.
In celebration of the release of their highly anticipated EP, Three Houses Down are gearing up for shows in Wellington, Auckland and Opononi. This band is all about collaboration and positive energy, and this is never more evident than during a live show.
“We like to bring the audience on a ride, take them on a musical journey with us when we’re performing,” says eldest brother and vocalist/keyboardist Rob Pome’e. “We aim to entertain and involve the audience with every show that we do, creating an experience with them rather than playing to them. That’s our strength”.
Three Houses Down are gearing up for a three-date tour and will be performing live at the following venues, with tickets available from eventfinda.co.nz now. Gig-goers will receive a copy of the Moon & Back EP with every ticket purchased.
