The Map Room - All You'll Ever Find

21 May 2013 - 0 Comments

With their debut album due out on June 28th, Wellington based indie-pop duo, The Map Room release their second single All You’ll Ever Find.

This lush electronic track is driven by persistent synthetic drum-beats, cyclic electric guitar and the ethereal male voice of Simon Gooding punctuating the song with yearning lyrics.

All You’ll Ever Find is one of a series of songs written while Gooding and band mate Brendon Morrow travelled for one year from Argentina to Columbia.  As the transient nature of the year unfolded, lyrical themes of movement, displacement and strange interactions rose to the fore.

With a background in sound production, this duo has crafted a sound that reaches from solo acoustic guitar (both acoustic guitars somehow making it home in one piece) to full band dynamics.  Rich with synthesizers, piano and electric guitar, The Map Room draw inspiration from influential indie bands such as Radiohead, The National, Grizzly Bear and Phoenix.

All You’ll Ever Find is available via DRMNZ and iTunes.
