NEW SONY MUSIC NEW ZEALAND SIGNING
EVAN SINTON
RELEASES ‘PHOSPHENES EP’
AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD MAY 31
Sony Music New Zealand is proud to announce the digital release of Evan Sinton’s debut offering on May 31st. Produced by Sam McCarthy at Creature Club, Phosphenes EP features his single Tables & Chairs.
The video for Tables & Chairs was shot on location in Goa, India and features two sisters who were rescued from a life begging for food on the streets and are now cared for by the charity, Child Shelter. As part of the shoot they were given half the video's budget to spend as they pleased on clothes and shoes for themselves and their friends, in the very same market they used to live in as beggars.
Sinton, 18, hails from Auckland, New Zealand and has captivated audiences with his mesmerising live performances around Auckland, most recently opening for indie-folk act Passenger in March.
He says of his debut: ‘The opportunity to record this collection of songs has allowed me to be as honest as I can be. I'm thrilled to finally share these songs with an audience and hopefully each song can create something just as real for the person listening.’
Phosphenes EP will be available for free digital download from http://www.evansinton.com/ for a limited time.
