Nesian Mystik today took their #1-selling debut album Polysaturated to triple-platinum sales status in New Zealand - a feat achieved on the back of four top 10 singles.
The Auckland group now turn their attentions to the wider world, soon to head for international shores on a promotional tour. With the release of their first single through Bounce/Universal in Australia this month, Nesian Mystik leave New Zealand to perform shows in Sydney, then head on to the UK.
On arrival in the UK mid-October, they perform a series of public shows in London and will treat the British music industry to an exclusive showcase at 'a secret penthouse location'.
Universal Music Australia was one of several Australian companies vying for the right to release Nesian Mystik over the Tasman.
The decision to go with Universal was based on the company’s enthusiasm and the good relationship the group and Bounce already enjoy with Universal Music in New Zealand, says Bounce boss Dean Godward.
“A triple-platinum debut album is a remarkable achievement but it is something the boys have worked extremely hard for.
“We are hoping that Nesian Mystik’s music and the strong, positive messages in their lyrics that have already struck a chord with a huge cross-section of the population of Aotearoa will have the same effect on people elsewhere."
