The GRAND final of the York Street Studios Acid Test was staged at the Temple on Saturday 27th September.
The much coveted 1st prize package was taken out by the quirky pop/rock/punk outfit, Goon, 2nd prize by alternative pop folk singer/songwriter Charlotte Johansen, and 3rd place by another singer/songwriter, Punga.
Some 200 people passed through the Temple door to experience the exceptionally high standard of performances which also included Milk Milk Lemonade, Manu Bennett, Luke Bodle and MaTaR. To top the night off there was a performance by last year's winner - St Lucy!
With the impending closure of the Temple, it was the last time the York Street Studios Acid Test will be held at the Queen St location, although it is likely Karen q Temple will continue to produce the event in the future.
