“If “21st century singer-songwriter psychedelic-soul” is a category, Neil Finn is in the vanguard.” Elsewhere
Neil Finn has released a new video for the title track for his album Dizzy Heights which was released on February 7 through Lester Records via Kobalt Label Services (KLS).
Dizzy Heights is the third single from the album of the same name, and finds an ethereal Halloween scene with Finn wandering in a glass helmet, while his band are featured amongst some surreal mannequins and masks.
The video showcases Finn’s creative skills as he is credited as Co-Director on the clip after directing the video for lead track Divebomber last year. Finn said of the clip, “I made this video to accompany the song Dizzy Heights as a depiction of the secret worlds we invent when searching for inspiration... an endless variety of scenes that play out every night behind windows all over town as people shut themselves away to make their own beauty. Thanks to Sonya Whiteman for getting me started and putting a glass bowl on my head.”

Finn recently recorded a MAX Session to broadcast across Australia on March 24. Accompanied by a new band, the set list included songs from Crowded House and Split Enz alongside his recent solo work. Finn welcomed Eddie Vedder to join him for the encore which ended with an unforgettable performance of History Never Repeats.
Co-produced by Dave Fridmann (Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala) the Dizzy Heights album was recorded between Finn’s Roundhead studio in Auckland and Fridmann’s Tarbox studio in upstate New York.
