Direct from sell-out concerts in the USA, Abstract Entertainment presents the Kings of Country - an unforgettable tribute to country music’s finest! Starring American musicians Philip Bauer as Johnny Cash, Marion Deaton as Willie Nelson and Marty Edwards as Kenny Rogers, these three great performers and their band celebrate some of the most loved country songs in one foot stomping night. Performing Johnny Cash tracks like Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk the Line and Ring of Fire, Philip Bauer has been emulating the man in black since 1985. He has played with country music superstars such as LeAnn Rimes, Vince Gill, Joe Diffie and Toby Keith and as a songwriter has released his own original songs internationally (through Nashville’s Selective Records) and received airplay on over 300 radio stations.
Marion Deaton is the world’s leading Willie Nelson tribute artist – flawlessly recreating Nelson’s greatest hits, spanning four decades of musical rebellion and excellence and leaving audiences of all ages delighted! Marion has played with some of music’s finest including Percy Sledge, Ace Cannon, Roy Orbison, Neil Sedaka, Gene Pitney, Del Shannon, Bruce Channel, Bobby Vee, Bobby Vinton, Jimmy Clanton, Dickey Lee, Rufus Thomas, Gee Gee Shinn, John Smith, Gene Simmons and Ronnie Milsap (to name a few!) and is affectionately known as Smooth Willie. Marty Edwards as Kenny Rogers has been endorsed by the man himself. He has performed on the Oprah show, Jay Lenoand CNN News and played shows across the US, Canada, Asia, UK, Ireland, Mexico and Australia. Marty has meet Rogers twice since starting his tribute and in 2002 when Kenny Rogers was performing he stopped to introduce Marty to the audience and show how close the resemblance was!
