Shortly after announcing the release of their sophomore album Science & Survival set for release on July 4, I Am Giant have this morning revealed the album art work and track listing. The album is now available for pre-order on iTunes and at all JB Hi-Fi stores nationwide, including through the JB Hi-Fi website.
When the album is pre-ordered on iTunes, both singles Razor Wire Reality, Death Of You and exclusive album track Minefield are available for instant download.
That’s not all, I Am Giant know how to treat their fans! When the album is pre-ordered at any JB Hi-Fi store, fans will get 1 of 3 limited edition posters designed by the band’s drummer Shelton Woolright.
Fans who pre-order the album through JB Hi-Fi’s website will receive a free download of Echo From The Gallows.
Science & Survival is the highly anticipated follow up to their Gold selling debut The Horrifying Truth. The band recorded between France and London, mixed in Melbourne, and mastered in New York making it a true international effort. Co-produced by Forrester Saville (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Helmut), bassist Paul Matthews and drummer Shelton Woolright.
Bassist Paul Matthews says of the release; “We're really excited about Science & Survival and can't wait to see how it's received. We spent almost twice as much time recording this album than the last one and it's a bit more of everything... As a band we feel we've settled into our sound a lot more. It was a real challenge too...We were really pushing ourselves and our expectations. It’s just a bigger, better, heavier, more intense and more intimate I Am Giant. That’s how we're feeling”.
I Am Giant’s previous album The Horrifying Truth was a #2 NZ Top 40 Album, it was also certified gold and featured 4 #1 Rock Airplay singles.
The band are also set to complete a 9 date New Zealand tour, beginning in Christchurch on July 17th and finishing in Auckland at the Powerstation on August 2nd. Tickets are available Friday 9th of May at 9am from iamgiant.com and http://www.ticketmaster.co.nz/ (for Auckland show only).
