Their last performance in New Zealand? 1995. Two decades on, fans have wasted no time in snapping up tickets to one of the most highly anticipated tours of the summer – and now Frontier Touring is pleased to announce the Auckland leg of the “History Of the Eagles” world tour is officially sold out.
After unprecedented demand – tickets to the Eagles’ first announced show flying out the door in mere minutes, with the second date not far behind – Eagles will perform two huge shows at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2015. NZ fans have been waiting for over 20 years to hear the band’s iconic hits, which members Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit will perform in an intimate, three-hour career retrospective. Including the stories behind the songs as well as much-loved classics such as Hotel California, Desperado, Take It Easy, Lyin’ Eyes and Take It To The Limit, these shows will be a night to remember – Eagles also performing songs they had never previously performed live.
With demand for tickets still high, Frontier Touring are currently looking at production to determine if any further releases of tickets can take place. Fans will be updated via www.frontiertouring.com/eagles and www.facebook.com/frontiertouring.
The “History Of The Eagles” global tour kicked off in July 2013, and hits Australia and New Zealand in February/March 2015.

Frontier Touring Managing Director Michael Gudinski said; “The demand for
tickets to both the Rolling Stones and the Eagles in New Zealand is
unprecedented. With no further shows possible we started looking at
production options that might increase capacity but had thought the numbers
would likely be minimal. When Auckland Stadiums suggested additional seats
we were thrilled – being able to accommodate a further 6000 fans per show
was beyond our wildest imaginings. Who would have thought the biggest
shows of the year could get any bigger!"
