Lizzie Marvelly's writer's debut EP has gone to number 14 on the official New Zealand album charts in its first week of release. This is Marvelly's third top 15 release, which also comes in at number four on the official New Zealand local album charts, a massive result for an independent release.
The accolades continue for Marvelly who was announced as a semi-finalist in the international Unsigned Only competition on Friday.
This week sees her on the road taking her new EP home to perform showcases around the Bay of Plenty for her fans. Marvelly says that she is rapt with how things are evolving with her new music direction.
"To have three top fifteen albums kind of blows my mind, I'm stoked. The announcement about the Unsigned Only competition was completely unexpected, I’m totally stunned. I can't wait to finally be able to share my new music with some of my most loyal fans, my home crowd in Rotorua and around the Bay of Plenty."
