It’s a good year end for Moana & The Tribe.
Their Live And Proud DVD has just been released (in time for Christmas), while their song Moko has been named as a finalist in a prestigious international songwriting competition.
The Moana Maniapoto-penned song is among eight finalists in the world music section of the International Songwriting Competition, which attracts hundreds of entrants competing in 13 categories.
It is judged by such luminaries as BB King, producer Nile Rogers and Mushroom's Michael Gudinski.
The Live And Proud DVD features eight music videos, live performances, profiles and a tour diary of the group’s travels through Europe last year. It is the first New Zealand music DVD to be subtitled in German, French, Italian, English and Maori.
