HAVE MERCY ALBUM RELEASE
Auckland's stoner blues rock'n'roll band These Automatic Changers are thrilled to announce the impending release of their debut album, Have Mercy – due out on Oct 15th via all usual digital outlets.
They kick off the celebrations early this month with a support slot for the UK’s seminal electro industrial pop terrorists Pop Will Eat Itself and have been announced as Auckland support for touring ex-pats Agent who return from London in November. The band will follow these dates with a nationwide tour.
Have Mercy embarks on an aural road trip through the shallows of blues, via 70s inspired satanic blues, to the chest thumping sound straight from the catalogues of vintage rock music. Unusually for the times, the album was recorded live to tape at York Street studios and this allowed the band to capture the raw power of the quartet in a no frills environment. The video for the first single Have Mercy was directed by ex Space Waltz frontman Alastair Riddell.
"Psychedelic, dirty, ‘come get some’ rock..." Lisa Tagaloa, NZ Musician
"heading back in time in a hot tub time machine to the 70s, the band has a great original sound whilst using the guitar sound and riffs of those bands of old" Wal Reid – Music Nation
