Vector Arena & 95bFM by arrangement with Artist Voice are proud to announce the return of bohemian rock 'n’ roll outfit Howling Bells to New Zealand to play at The Tuning Fork THIS Saturday 13th September. In support of their recently released fourth album, Heartstrings, the band return for the first time since 2006.
Joining the band will be our very own Dictaphone Blues playing songs from a forthcoming new album, including new single
Her Heart Breaks Like A Wave.
“Like their fellow Australian Nick Cave, Howling Bells’ music lives on dirty plains and in lonely churchyards, weaving pre-dawn paranoia into a woozy tapestry of sex and death. And Juanita’s extraordinary voice curls around the haunting guitar lines like cigarette smoke. – NME
“fearless vocals and beautifully put-together instrumentation” - Drowned In Sound
"And here I can see why there was so much talk around Juanita Stein – she’s enchanting from the opener Paris and particularly on the Cardigans-esque Slowburn (we’re talking later period country-torch Cardigans). She’s cocksure and sassy across the album and the band churns a fine groove behind her." - Simon Sweetman
