Black River Drive's new song Grenade, from their forthcoming album Quicksand, punches like a heavyweight champion. A meaty, punk rock guitar riff melds with a crushing gang vocal chorus that you'll be singing along with by the end of the song.
"I knew I had something special with this one" says lead singer and BRD songwriter Sam Browne. "There was something there from the first time we jammed on it - it just felt big, bad and right from the very beginning." The song was inspired by a short and extremely tumultuous relationship with an international poker player. "At any given moment, I wasn't sure if she was going to kiss me, punch me in the face or burn my house down. It was many things, but it wasn't boring!"
Black River Drive's Quicksand will be released on November 7th, with a nationwide tour to promote the album throughout November. Grenade is now available for purchase on iTunes.
