Lorde's first ever headline tour of New Zealand will commence late October as she brings her largest stage production to date to our four major centres! Having already embarked on her substantial US tour, LORDE and her band have put a major focus on making sure their live show is the absolutely ultimate concert experience for fans.
About her upcoming tour Ella said "I've been itching to do a New Zealand tour ever since the Silo Park show, which was the most amazing crowd I've had yet. Kiwi audiences are the best, and I'm so happy to be playing the final shows for Pure Heroine here. It's only right I come full circle, back to where it all started".
Having recently seen the tour in all its resplendent glory, TV3’s David Farrier reported,
"Then it was Lorde. And by God, she's got a show. Like, a show-show. I don't particularly want to go into spoiler material, but her whole gig now feels like an entirely cohesive journey, beginning to end".
"Three large screens hang behind her and band mates Jimmy and Ben (dressed in matching white Zambesi suits), a variety of video content shot back in New Zealand anchoring it all together. I'm sure the meaning was entirely different for me, a Kiwi, than the 4000 Canadians fans - but seeing images grounded in Lorde's hometown was pretty magic".
"There are other elements to the show I'd like to talk about, but again - spoilers. Like a movie, I think it's better you discover certain things on your own. When I think about it, the whole show feels pretty cinematic. It's not a strobe-filled affair, but a journey that guides you through Pure Heroine with a wonderful visual component".

When Lorde's New Zealand tour commences next month she will be joined by opening act Yumi Zouma.
Yumi Zouma began as a project in 2013 between three friends from Christchurch. The songs were never intended to leave the computers they were composed on, but following a casual exchange with the Cascine label it was clear that the music was too good to be confined to hard drives. The following six months were spent readying a humble four-track release.
In January 2014, their debut EP launched to overwhelming acclaim - the music lauded as being undeniably stylish, underplayed and honest. The months that followed saw the band repeatedly climb to #1 on the Hype Machine, sell through two pressings of vinyl records and collaborate with long-time musical role models, Air France.
That spring Yumi Zouma took their once withdrawn project to sold-out theatres across Australia supporting Chet Faker, to club shows in north America and to festivals throughout Europe. The band is now set to support Lorde in their home country and launch a bold new single, Alena and release their freshman album shortly.
LORDE has turned heads and defied preconceptions all whilst making a permanent impression across the globe. Debut album Pure Heroine scaled the US Top 10 and amassed platinum sales all over. She then stunned the world with an appearance at the 2013 Grammy awards where she picked up Best Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Other accolades include Best International Female Artist at The Brits, a swag of NZ Music awards and Best Rock Video at this year's MTV awards.
LORDE - don't miss her outstanding show live in NZ!
